Residential – Moving In Area

To ensure we capture new opportunities for service with incoming homeowners while maintaining contact with the outgoing customers for future marketing opportunities.

Process Overview:
Whenever a homeowner cancels due to moving within our service area, you must complete two forms below:

  • New Homeowner Lead Form
  • Outgoing Customer Forwarding Details Form

Example Script: Requesting New Homeowner Information

“Thank you for letting us know about your move. To complete the cancellation and properly transfer ownership of the system to the new homeowner, we’ll need their contact information. This ensures the system is correctly updated and prevents any potential issues, such as false alarm fees or disruptions in service, which could still be linked to your account.”

“Could you please provide the new homeowner’s name and contact information, or let us know if you’d prefer we reach out to them directly? This step is crucial to ensure a smooth transition and avoid any future liabilities on your end.”

Objection: “Why do you need their information?”
Response: “We want to make sure the system is fully transferred to the new homeowner. Without their details, the system would still be tied to your account, and any issues—like false alarms—could result in fees or notifications being sent to you instead of the new homeowner.”

Objection: “I don’t have their information.”
Response: “If you’re not sure of their details, that’s okay. We can reach out directly if you have their name or the name of the real estate agent who helped with the sale. It’s important to make this connection so we can finalize the transfer properly.”
